Mid Day Meal (MDM)

the implementation of mid day meal scheme in manipur started from november, 1995 in some schools. following the directives of the hon’ble supreme court dated 20-4-2004 in w.p(c) no.196 of 2001, the scheme was extended to all the schools of primary stage (govt. / aided) in the state with effect from the 14th november 2004.

implementation of the scheme in upper primary classes started with effect from the 1st august, 2008. during the year 2015-16, 2475 primary schools, 717 – primary schools with upper primary classes and 177 – upper primary without primary schools i.e. a total of 3369 schools were covered under the scheme.
